I am a professional Photographer and my native place is Karichal. Creating a website for Karichal is my long ambition since 2000. For that i really hardworked and now my dream became reality.

In 1969 Nov 23rd , the Karichal Snakeboat Club was formed, and in December the construction was started. In 1970 September 8th (1146 Chingam 23rd ) between 8AM and 9.15AM, the Karichal Chundan took its first leap in water. The “Jalachakravarthy” Karichal Chundan won the Nehru Trophy 14 times and marked its name in history. The another peculiar feature of Karichal Chundan is whenever it is participated in a race, always won the trophy. It becomes a nightmare for all its fellow participants by achieving the Hatrics in Nehru Trophy twice.

While considering its achievements it got Hatrics twice in Nehru Trophy, Once in Indiragandhi Trophy, thrice in Payippadu Boat Race and Once in Pandanadu Gosalakrishna Boat Race.fellow participants by achieving the Hatrics in Nehru Trophy twice. Now the small village Karichal in Veeyapuram Panchayat is famous all over the world by Karichal Chundan. To reveal the history and achievements of  Karichal Chundan for the new generation I created this website. I dedicate this website for all aspirant minds, those who want to know the legacy and achievements of Karichal Chundan.
